OK, I was able to get into the site just now. The trailer is intense!! It even ends with some game-play footage in which Raiden slices and dices everything from PMC soldiers to buildings to a watermelon. If you like swordplay (and as a kendo student, I do!) this looks like an amazingly fun game.

This game appears to take place in between MGS2 and MGS4 and fills us in on how the lame whiner from the former turned into the super bad-ass of the latter. Raiden got a bum rap for taking the spotlight away from Solid Snake in MGS2, but he had some character design and game-play elements that I always thought were really cool. Glad to see that Hideo Kojima and the crew found a way to make him compelling to a wider swath of fans.
