I have to admit: this show hits my juvenile geek sweet spot. It’s got a Futurama vibe, but without the sci-fi. Fans of Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist will appreciate that it comes from that shows creator: Loren Bouchard. He is also the creator of a very funny yet under-appreciated cartoon with a mean sacrilegious streak that had a brief existence on Adult Swim called Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil. Those 11 episodes were some of the best spoofs of Christianity and Catholicism ever made…

Another reason I’m looking forward to this show is that I’m tired of being hit over the head with loud jokes. Bob’s Burgers seems to have the kind of dry delivery (although the humor itself is moist) lacking from The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad…
