Old news by now, but still shocking:

Democratic congressional leaders Wednesday demanded Republicans join them in condemning a spate of threats and vandalism that has followed Sunday’s vote on a sweeping overhaul of the U.S. health care system.

Aren’t these right wing nuts (“Wingnuts”?) the ones that called you a traitor if you said anything bad about the government under the Bush years!??! Good thing I’m not in charge because I would make hypocrisy a capital offense.

Republican House members encouraged protesters outside and inside the House gallery, some of whom carried messages like “Vote no or else” or “If Brown won’t stop it, a Browning will” — a reference to newly elected Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown accompanied by a silhouette of a pistol.

These “protests” seem to be designed to scare Democrats into backing down on health care reform…

[South Carolina Democrat Rep. James] Clyburn, who is African-American, said he has received a fax in his office with a picture of a noose drawn on it and had threatening telephone calls at his home.

Actions like these would probably have been labeled “terrorism” under Bush, but are now simply considered part of the cost of doing business by the Democrats?!

Glenn Beck acquits himself of any culpability for inciting violence very smoothly:

Beck told his radio audience Monday that Democrats who supported the bill would be remembered as “an enemy of the republic” and “an enemy to the Constitution.” But he urged viewers…to avoid violence, because “radical” supporters of the Obama administration are counting on such attacks to discredit their opposition, he said. “Not only is it completely nuts and wrong, it’s exactly what they want,” Beck said. He told viewers, “They are begging for it. You are being set up.”

Hey, Wingnuts out there! It’s time to focus your lives on being productive and positive. Be grateful that diversity of ideas, cultures, opinions, et al., exists! Otherwise humanity would not be very advanced. Let some love into your lives! Don’t you see that all human beings are your brothers and sisters?! Be glad there are people different from you in this world! The beauty of it is that the differences don’t really go down very far below the surface!

House Democrats report increased threats since health care vote – CNN.com
