District 9 is a new science fiction movie from Neill Blomkamp (produced by Peter Jackson). Blomkamp is “a South African born, Vancouver, BC-based director of short films and advertisements” who made a name for himself with a short movie blending journalistic camera work with great CGI and SFX called Tetra Vaal, and this really cool live-action HALO short.
