I’ve archived this set of photos away from my main Flickr page. The photostream must keep moving forward:
Five diptychs carefully selected from the "Girl and a Bucket" series. I call it "Exhibit A" because it is my first attempt to use Flickr as a gallery space. But it also provides evidence that for a moment I was completely in sync with the world.
Each offers a wide look and a close look at the same scene. Some are strong enough composition-wise to stand alone. Paired up, the best shots are diluted, brought down by the weak ones (though they were all carefully chosen) for the sake of fulfilling a thematic quota.
But this is how I like them. What’s captured in these shots is a real moment with a woman I’ll never see again. It’s evidence that I have only so much time on this Earth and that I better not screw up like that again.
